Year 11 pupils at Bishops' Blue Coat CE High School celebrated the end of their formal education with a prom at Mercure Chester Abbots Well Hotel.

Many of the 160 pupils arrived at the event, on Tuesday, June 24, in style - including in an Aston Martin similar to the one driven by secret agent 007 (Timothy Dalton) in the Bond film Living Daylights .

Learning and achievement manager Cheryl Foster, who has been in charge of this year group since they joined Bishops', said: "It was an amazing night.  I have been so lucky to have such a wonderful year group for five years and the prom finished off what has been an amazing journey!

"The pupils looked gorgeous and well-groomed and many of them started the evening by arriving in limos, Aston Martins, Jaguars and many other impressive vehicles.

"The Mecure Hotel was very hospitable and all the staff were very friendly and welcoming - I can’t thank them enough."

Guests each had an individual photograph taken by Colex Photography, and a photo booth, supplied by Stretch your Event was very popular.  Music was by DJ Sav.

Miss Foster added: "We danced the night away finishing off with everyone on the dance floor to the last song - Angels by Robbie Williams."
