Peckforton Castle has been awarded four red stars by The AA, joining the ranks of only 37 other hotels in the country which have the rating.

The stunning venue now has the same rating as its sister property Nunsmere Hall Hotel.

Only becoming a hotel in the late 20th century, it was bought by the Naylor family in 2006 after Chris and Kate Naylor married there and set about making it one of Cheshire’s most popular hotels.

Managing director Chris has called The AA rating an ‘accolade that Peckforton certainly justifies’.

“It is a fantastic achievement for Peckforton Castle to receive four red stars, not only for the Naylor family but also for our team who work tirelessly to provide a passionate and dedicated service to all of our customers.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank every one of our team who have contributed in delivering a four red star standard.

“This year marks us, as a family, owning Peckforton Castle for 10 years.

“Receiving the award at this time is a truly special way to mark our decade of hard work in bringing Peckforton to its highest standard and firmly positioning it as one of the most desirable hotels in the UK.

“Peckforton is in our family’s heart and we feel honoured and privileged to be able to receive this prestigious award for Peckforton Castle.”

The standards the hotel had to exceed to achieve award are described by The AA as ‘professional, uniformed staff who respond to your needs or requests, and well appointed public areas, and the restaurant or dining room is open to residents and non-residents and lunch is available in a designated eating area'.

The honour is the latest in a long list of reasons to celebrate its success this year, not least hosting the fictional nuptials of Cold Feet’s Adam as the cult show returned to our screens, as well as the star-studded weddings of Leicester City hero Jamie Vardy and singer Ciara to American football star Russell Wilson.
