YOUNGSTERS were treading the boards while others walked the plank in front of packed audiences in Tattenhall.

A cast of all ages from Tattenhall Amateur Dramatic Society (TADS) delivered the goods across three nights with their performance of Treasure Island, by Tina and Rob Burbidge.

Director and chairman, Alison Pritchard, said that staging such the large-scale production, held this year in the Barbour Institute, is a huge task.

She said: “A lot of people work tirelessly to ensure a very high and professional standard.

“The pantomime always attracts a lot of interest from the younger community and this year more than 40 young children and teenagers had a chance to tread the boards, an experience which they really enjoy and get a lot from.

“The group is always keen to recruit new members. Those willing to act, particularly men, are very welcome as is anyone who could help and get involved with the variety of other jobs and skills.”
