A Chester woman has vowed to issue a reward for the safe return of her beloved cat.

Four-year-old Eli, a male Bengal cat with distinctive markings, was last seen by owner Polly Galatin on Saturday April 11 after he was let out of his house on Tollemache Terrace in Hoole with her kitten Flo, who he would often follow around and keep an eye on.

Eli is tanned and brown and has leopard-like spots on his coat as well as stripes down his legs. He also has a light tan belly and a small pea sized lump on one of his ears.

Polly told The Chronicle: “He’s a lovely natured cat and when we have done our local enquiries, people say that their children often played with him. He has stunning big blue eyes and a distinctive loud meow.

“I let him out in the morning with my kitten Flo and he did his usual of following her about, keeping an eye on her as she is new to going outdoors. He plays the big brother role. Usually he wanders off for a bit but comes home at about 6pm for his dinner but he didn’t return.”

“We live on Tollemache Terrace so have a very tight relationship with our neighbours, and Eli is seen on the terrace as not just a cat but one of the community. Everyone is missing him - not just us. Flo, his ‘sister’ is missing her playmate and wanders about looking for him all the time,” added Polly.

“We have used social media to get the message out to as many people as possible that he’s missing and have also put flyers through doors, posters up and reported him missing to vets, rescue centres and his microchip company. I’m willing to provide a reward for his safe return.

We just want to find him.”
