Zombies intent on infecting others with a deadly virus will soon be on the rampage in Cheshire.

A breakout of the walking dead is expected on the evening of Saturday, October 15 – not long before Hallowe’en - with would–be survivors attempting to escape from a flesh-eating mob in Northwich’s Marbury Country Park.

Even children as young as 10 could be running for their lives from the savage monsters.

Sources say the zombies – all aged 16 or above - will be located at strategic points along a 5km escape route to terrify potential victims in the dark.

Many of the zombies will be working in packs to inflict as much misery as possible, trying to mark those trying to escape with a blood-spattered hand print.

A zombie makeover transformation area and special effects will create an unforgettable experience for everyone, whether they live or become one of the undead. There will be two escape routes, one for youngsters aged 10-15 and another for those aged 16 and above.

Whatever the outcome, there’ll be a Zombie Survival Party afterwards, with hot and cold food, a bar and music.
