Residents from a care home in Northwich have enjoyed a trip out to the Albert Dock in Liverpool.

The group, from HC-One’s Daneside Court Care Home, stopped on the way and enjoyed a picnic lunch.

They enjoyed an ice cream and coffee and tea in the afternoon.

Their day was spent sight-seeing, shopping and they had the pleasure of viewing a recreated house dating back to the 1960s, showing the old fire place, ironing boards, irons and dolly tubs.

Residents were able to recollect many of the items and transported back in time and shared many memories.

Daneside Court Care home manager Jo Farrell said “The residents had a wonderful trip out to Liverpool and spent the journey back reminiscing about the day and all the things they’d seen in the re-created house.”

She continued: “A special thanks to our volunteers and carers for their support on such trips.”
