A school has been successful in their application for funding from the Big Lottery Fund.
Norley Primary School used the money to purchase outdoor equipment to enhance the outdoor learning experiences for their pupils.
The project, Norley Explorers, includes a mud kitchen, pulley system, outdoor seating and chalkboards, wigwams, denbuilding equipment and a playhouse.
This will be installed in the week beginning June 13.
The school is keen to share the resources with the local community and Norley’s zero-fives group will have access to the equipment on a Wednesday morning during term time.
If any local groups are interested in using the outside areas after school, weekends or in holiday time they should contact 01928 788471.
The Big Lottery Fund supports the aspirations of people who want to make life better for their communities across the UK.
They are responsible for giving out 40% of the money raised by the National Lottery for good causes and invest more than £650 million a year in projects big and small in health, education, environment and charitable purposes.
A spokesperson for the school said: “We are very grateful to The Big Lottery Fund for this award and can’t wait to get stuck in and to create more adventures, especially for our explorers club that meets on a Thursday after school.”
