A jury has retired to consider its verdict in the retrial of Nick Crawshaw.

It comes as the trial at Warrington Crown Court enters its third week.

Crawshaw, 23, of West Street, Hoole, is charged with six counts of rape, three of sexual assault and two charges of assault by penetration between 2010 and 2012 from eight alleged victims.

He denies all of the charges against him.

Judge Tina Landale finished her summing up of the case this morning (October 18).

The allegations against Crawshaw include raping complainants in Grosvenor Park, Cruise nightclub and at his own home. Some of his alleged victims were also underage.

The 23-year-old has claimed some of the women have colluded against him and the police have not fully investigated his side of the story.

The jury retired to consider two weeks worth of evidence at 11.22am.

Judge Landale said there was ‘no limit on the time’ for the panel of seven men and five women to reach a verdict.

The trial continues.
