Two flood-hit shops at the Coliseum in Ellesmere Port are aiming to be back trading again by the end of next week.

Next and Thomson were the worst affected stores when flash floods battered the retail complex on June 14, forcing the evacuation of all 22 shops.

Remedial work has been ongoing over the past four weeks, but dates have finally been revealed for when they will be able to welcome customers again.

Next has confirmed its Coliseum branch will reopen on Friday, July 22, while a spokeswoman for the shopping park itself gave a provisional reopening date for Thomson of Tuesday, July 19.

"This date could potentially change but that is what it is aiming for at the present time," she said.
