Newton Primary School was visited by Green Watch from Chester Fire Service to learn about The Great Fire of London.

The children designed their own Tudor style buildings which they then created to make their own version of the capital city.

Chester’s Green Watch crew then created a re-enactment of the event which really brought the topic to life.

The children described the event as the best day ever.

The excitement didn’t end there as the fire crew allowed the children to use the fire hoses and explore the fire engine.

They also received a vital fire safety talk which saw their teacher dressing up as a fire fighter.
