A new sports store opens its doors in Chester this weekend.

Sports Direct’s new store which officially opens in the Grosvenor Shopping Centre on Saturday (June 6) has created more than 20 jobs in the city.

The 13,000 sq ft store will be the third branch in Chester, joining the existing one on Chester Retail Park and one on Frodsham Street.

The store traditionally stocks its shelves with a range of top sports brands including Nike, Adidas, Lonsdale, Puma and Dunlop, and the new one will also include dedicated instore areas for running, outdoor, football, golf and more.

The group is the UK’s largest sporting retailer, with more than 400 stores nationwide.
