A new team has been created by Cheshire West and Chester Council to deliver its Street Care Pledge.

The HIT (High Impact Team) is supported by the launch of a website which aims to make reporting problems easier and provide useful information about the range of services the council provides in communities across the borough.

The new website will make it easier and quicker to report environmental issues - from potholes to graffiti - plus you can find out key facts about place based services and large and small projects being undertaken in your area.

Cabinet member for environment and community Mark Henesy said: “The new team will be responsive to the needs of residents and will be directed to where there is a local need or issue.

“This will include where the same problem keeps arising, such as recurring fly tipping or graffiti. In cases like this HIT will address the problem and work with communities to develop a sustainable solution.

“HIT will also take action to address emerging problems which may occur as a result of a particular change in an area. This may include the redesign of a public space to design out anti-social behaviour and create a safe environment where people feel safe.”
