IT WILL be a hop, skip and jump for the British artist behind some of the cutest paintings to arrive at Castle Galleries in Chester this year.
Keith Proctor is one of the foremost contemporary figurative artists in the country and he will pay a visit to Castle Galleries Chester on Saturday, September 17 from noon-3pm to coincide with the autumn unveiling of Making Memories, his new collection of limited edition prints, which will be in the gallery from mid September to the end of November.
Having started drawing at a very young age under the guidance of his father, Proctor’s elegant, instinctive style lends itself perfectly to his chosen subject matter.
He said: “Simple studies of everyday people doing everyday things, the way a person walks or stands, sometimes just the shape of some people fascinates me and this is no more true than with the ‘little people’.”
