A HUSBAND who had a Hospice of the Good Shepherd tattoo on the back of his neck is continuing his fundraising efforts for the charity.

Baxter McDowell, 52, of Downsfield Road, Lache, packed bags at Netto in Saltney and, together with two others, raised £308.

His wife Phyllis underwent successful cancer treatment at the Backford hospice, which provides care for people from Chester, Deeside, Ellesmere port and Rural Cheshire.

Accompanying Baxter was Michael Kelly, who is undergoing treatment for cancer, and Margaret Whiteside, who cares for her husband, who has lung cancer.
