A MOTORCYCLIST was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital with serious head injuries.

The accident happened on Lees Lane, Little Neston, near the Hinderton Arms, just before 2pm on Wednesday (DEC 19)and is believed to have involved three vehicles in total.

The rider, who is in his late 50s and understood to be local, was on a black Suzuki machine when the collision occurred. The Countess was put on standby ahead of his arrival by ambulance suggesting his injuries were serious, although police say his life was not thought to be in danger at the time.
