A WIDNES woman was so inspired by her daughter's achievements that she followed in her footsteps by gaining a top degree with honours at the University of Chester's Warrington campus.
Kath Dale, a customer service manager, proudly attended daughter Stephanie's graduation ceremony at the University of Liverpool in 2000.
Enthused by the special occasion and the rewards brought by the qualification, she decided she wanted a degree and chose to study the same business management course at Warrington.
Six years later, the roles were reversed as Stephanie watched her mother don cap and gown to be awarded a 2:1. Kath, 52, said: 'After I had seen my daughter graduate I realised it was something I wanted to do for myself.'
Ambitions of becoming a teacher mean that Kath now aims to further her studies with a Post Graduate Certificate in Education.
