School children showed why Christmas is known as the season of goodwill by helping West Cheshire foodbank.

Mollington Pre-School donated selection boxes to the foodbank, which provides emergency food for local people in crisis.

Pre-school supervisor Jacqui Reeves said: “We’ve had lots of festive fun at pre-school this season with our usual nativity play, a party, card making, decorating the Christmas tree, crafts, even a visit from Santa Claus himself.

“But we thought it would be good for the children to also think about others who might not be as fortunate at this special time of year. The children donned their Christmas finery when they brought in their boxes, which will be taken to one of our local food banks in either Ellesmere Port or Chester, and will hopefully bring a little seasonal cheer to those in need.”
