BIG Brother favourite and Austin Powers star Verne Troyer is coming to Chester for his first public appearance on Monday.

Fans are expected to mob the Mini Me actor, 40, who has been tipped to win tonight’s Big Brother final, when he visits Cruise nightclub as part of its Beans promotion aimed at students.

TV crews are anticipated and a special stage is being erected so crowds can see the pint-sized star with a chance to meet the cult celebrity.

DJ Mike Hannigan, who runs Beans, was to have dressed up as Austin Powers accompanied by Powers’ love interest Felicity Shagwell but Verne’s visit has been brought forward from next month meaning there isn’t time to finalise arrangements.

But an enthusiastic Mike said: “I’m going to do an interview with him on stage myself and there will be a meet and greet – a chance to meet him and get pictures taken.”

Mike added: “He’s the bookies’ favourite to win the show. I can’t see anybody else winning. He’s played such a great part. We are all very excited. He is without doubt the biggest – if you can call him that – act Beans has ever had. Personally I’m looking forward to interviewing him.”

Verne, who will be staying overnight in Chester, will be accompanied by minders and his tour manager. Mike said this was the star’s first ever visit to the city.

Mike advised people to get to the venue early because he expects it to reach full capacity. “It will be fantastic, it will be awesome,” he added.

Cruise operations manager Nick Harding, who described Verne Troyer as a “world renowned superstar”, said the Mini Me’s visit was a real coup for Chester.

Doors open at 9pm with Verne expected to arrive around 10.30pm. He will be on stage between 12-12.30am. Tickets are £3 in advance available from The Bouverie and Off The Wall, £4 on the night with a Beans card while non-member will pay £5. For more details visit the Beans site on Facebook.
