Mini funeral is a fitting farewell

Halliwell Jones dealership in Chester provides Mini cortege for Boughton woman's funeral

The Mini cortege for the funeral of Valerie Formby

A fan of the Mini car was given a fitting farewell thanks to a Chester car dealership.

Valerie Formby, of Boughton, died on August 6 after a long illness. Her family spoke to funeral director Geoff Goold, about her lifelong love of the Mini car.

With the help of Halliwell Jones four Minis took part in the funeral cortege to transport Valerie’s family on the day of the funeral.

Mr Goold said: “This was a fitting tribute from her loving family.”

More than £400 has been donated to the Motor Neurone Disease Association in Valerie’s memory.
