A MOTORIST is in a stable condition in hospital after being cut free from his car following a collision in Childer Thornton.

A MOTORIST is in a stable condition in hospital after being cut free from his car following a collision in Childer Thornton.

The 58-year-old man suffered back and neck injuries after the two-vehicle collision on the A550 Welsh Road at 2.15pm yesterday (Thursday, January 26).

Road closures were put in place at the junction with the A40, Ledsham Road and Two Mills, which caused congestion and long queues, while accident investigators attended the scene.

Anyone who witnessed the collision should contact police on 101 quoting incident number 532 of January 26.
