An 18-year-old from Wirral has been charged following a serious assault on another teenager in Neston last week.
Chance Edward Beardmore, of Hoole Road in Woodchurch, has been charged with possession of a knife or sharp bladed item and attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent in relation to an attack on Tannery Lane on Thursday, September 8.
The 17-year-old victim was described by police as having been 'wounded in his back'.
Beardmore, who was arrested yesterday, has been remanded in police custody and will appear at Chester Magistrates Court today (September 16).
