A MAN will appear in court later today (Tuesday) charged with an arson attack on Peckforton Castle at the weekend.
Max Kay, aged 36, from Liverpool will appear before South Cheshire magistrates in Crewe this morning charged with arson with intent to endanger life and arson reckless as to whether life is endangered.
Emergency services were called to the Cheshire landmark at 5.18am on Sunday (June 19) to tackle a blaze that caused extensive damage to the interior.
