A 47-year-old woman has died after a multi-car crash on the A49 near Malpas.
Police have arrested 45-year-old man in relation to the collision and he is currently being held on suspicion of death by dangerous driving.
The crash involved a van, a HGV and a car at about 9.30am today (August 14).
Another man has been taken to Leighton Hospital.
Cheshire Constabulary and Cheshire Fire are both at the scene.
Road closures are in place on the A49 in both directions between the A534, Wrexham Road, Risley, and the A41 Roundabout, Whitchurch.
