Motorists heading south towards Cheshire on the M6 are experiencing severe delays this Thursday morning (April 21).
Queuing traffic is spanning 12 miles after emergency repairs and a vehicle breakdown near the Croft Interchange closed two lanes on the southbound carriageway between junction 21a for the M62 and J21 for Woolston.
Travel time is currently one hour.
Motorists are advised to find alternative routes.
