A crash involving three vehicles has partially closed a stretch of the M53 southbound.
Emergency services were called to the M53 between junction 4 in Bebington and junction 5 for Hooton at around 8am today (Wednesday, October 19).
A North West Ambulance Service spokesman said a woman in her 30s has been taken to Arrowe Park Hospital in Upton with ‘slight back injuries’.
One lane has been closed as a result of the accident and traffic is very slow in the area.
Traffic is reported to be backing up towards Ellesmere Port .
Highways England say traffic conditions are expected to return to normal between 10.30am and 10.45am today.
