A Monday morning crash on the M53 blocked part of the carriageway and caused delays for drivers.
The accident was reported at about 7.15am southbound between junctions 5 at Eastham and 6 for Hooton on November 14.
A lorry and car were involved in the crash, with one vehicle believed to have hit the central barrier.
A Cheshire Police spokeswoman said there were not believed to be any serious injuries.
There were long delays for commuters heading towards Chester at rush hour.
At one stage queues stretched back to junction 4 at Bebington.
But traffic has now eased after the accident was cleared by emergency services at about 9am.
