A483 crash sparks five mile tailback
Motorists were caught up in tailbacks of five miles following a crash on the A483. A lorry transporting logs collided with a silver Audi on the northbound side of the dual carriageway near the Posthouse Roundabout at 3.45pm. The smash left logs and debris scattered across the road, forcing police to close one lane for almost two hours.

Here’s a map showing the traffic in the area. As you can see the A483 is clear but there are long delays heading through Belgrave to Pulford.
Delays through Belgrave
While the queues have pretty much cleared from the A483 it’s looking very busy on the B5445 through Belgrave and on to Rossett.
Queues beginning to clear
In the last 30 minutes queues have significantly reduced however it will take you an extra 15 minutes or so than usual to reach the posthouse roundabout.

There is still queueing traffic due to the earlier accident, two vehicles involved involved on A483 Wrexham Road northbound near B5445 Wrexham Road, congestion on A483 to J7 B5102 Llay Road (Rossett). All lanes have been re-opened. Affecting traffic between Wrexham and Cheshire near to Posthouse roundabout. There was a lane closure in place until around 5.30pm.
Travel time of 90 minutes
One motorist claims it has taken 90 minutes to travel just a few miles.
Delays on side roads
There are big delays going through Belgrave, Rossett and Pulford as people try to avoid the A483. The B5102 near Rossett and the B5445 at Belgrave are particularly busy.
Debris cleared
Lots of reports from motorists that the vehicles and debris are all cleared now so it’s just the queues left to clear.
One lane remains closed
It is going to take some time to clear this especially now rush-hour is underway.
Queues back to Marford
The queue seems to be growing and is now back to Marford. That’s a distance of around five miles.
Logs being cleared from the road
There is debris on the road due to the collision.
Cheshire Police are in attendance and tell me that the logs are being secured and arrangements are being made to transfer them to another vehicle.
One lane is blocked following the crash which happened at 3.45pm.
Long delays
Traffic is backing up due to the incident with queues almost back to Rossett.

Ambulance in attendance
A witness tells me that police are on the scene and an ambulance arrived around 20 minutes ago.
One lane has also been coned off we are told.

The crash has resulted in some hydraulic fluid being spilt on the road.

I am told by a witness that the crash involves a truck that is carrying logs and a silver Audi estate car.
