Hundreds of people queued
In case you missed it, it was reported 550 were queuing to enter the shop this morning before it first opened.
Reporter having a shopping spree?
It’s gone all quiet from my colleague Sarah. She may be rooting around for a bargain herself.
Store OPEN
The store is now open! Reporter Sarah Hodgson says there is “quite the buzz” in the store.
Recycling
According to Primark they recycled 44 million hangers last year. Not sure why this is part of the launch but there you go.
Less than 10 minutes to go
Big cheer from staff as this is 300th store and the 6th in Wales. Could a seventh be on the horizon?
First in the queue
Caroline Pierce, Wendy Wright and Sonya Sheen from Queensferry were the first in the queue. They are “ecstatic” the store has come to Flintshire and looking for some bargains for holidays.
Future Primarks?
There has been widespread speculation that this will not be the last Primark store to open in the region.
Llandudno and Bangor have been touted as potential future locations with numerous units being talked up as possible destinations.
Sneak preview soon
Sarah’s already got her eyes on some of the merchandise... not sure it’s for sale though.
Sneak preview in 20 minutes
Daily Post set for sneak preview... I don’t think Sarah will be allowed to nab all the bargains herself though.
'Suits' in the area
No word from Sarah if these suits are literal of just a turn of phrase...
Reporter at the scene
Sarah, keen as ever, is already at the scene. The store opens at 10am.
