Reds’ legend Didi Hamann officially opened the refurbished Liverpool FC Chester retail store in front of hundreds of waiting fans.
Located on Eastgate Street, in the heart of Chester city centre, the store has been given a fresh makeover that’s in line with the Reds’ new retail concept, which is being rolled-out across new-look stores globally.
With local fans given the chance to get their hands on signed LFC memorabilia from Didi, as well as to hear a Q&A with the ex-midfielder, Chester city centre was a popular destination for Reds this evening.
Located less than 30 miles away from Anfield, Chester is the home to thousands of Liverpool FC fans. Since its opening in 2006, the LFC Chester store has served over 100,000 fans and it’s hoped the new sleek retail design will provide local Reds with an improved shopping experience.
Speaking at the launch event, guest of honour Didi Hamann commented, “The North West truly is a home-from-home for me, so it’s great to come along to events such as today’s LFC Chester store event to meet the fans who have been so welcoming to me over the years.
“The redesigned store looks fantastic and it’s a great representation of the Club.
“It’s a brilliant LFC outpost for the thousands of local fans in and around the Chester area.”
The new-look Chester Liverpool FC store is located at 48 Eastgate Street, Chester, CH1 1LE.
