A CHESTER teen is hoping to be crowned queen in the North West Beauty Awards and win the chance to enter the Miss England competition.

Laura McLoughlin, 16, of Echo Close in Saltney, is the youngest girl to make it through to finals of the awards and will compete against 27 other beauties in the competition.

The former Bishops’ Blue Coat CE High School pupil, who has ambitions to be a singer, actor and model, hopes her star quality will shine through in the finals in Blackpool on February 1.

The winner of the competition, the girl who makes the most money for charity and the girl who is the most popular by text vote will be entered into the Miss England competition.

Laura was entered into the competition by her modelling agency Sky-Models.

She said: “When they told me they entered me for the competition I didn’t think anything of it. But when they phoned me to tell me I was through to the regional finals I was over the moon.”

Laura has already started the charity work aspect of the competition by raising money for the National Autistic Society.

To vote for Laura, text her first and second name to 84205. Cost is 60p plus standard network charge.
