All lanes have now been re-opened following a collision on the M56 this afternoon (April 22), but there is still queuing traffic.
One lane had been closed following the incident, said to involve four vehicles, but this has now been reopened, and a rolling road block has now been lifted.
The accident happened eastbound towards Manchester, between J14 A5117 at Hapsford and J12 A557 at Runcorn.
Traffic website Inrix reported that there are still queues of traffic affecting drivers travelling east from the Chester area.
