Youngsters visited Santa and his elves at a Christmas fair in Lache thanks to Sanctuary Housing.

Staff from the housing association’s resident involvement team built a grotto and donned elf outfits at the fair, which was organised by volunteers at Lache Community Centre on Hawthorne Road.

The elves also handed out festive goody bags which included toys, sweets and tangerines, while the children’s parents were able to browse a variety of stalls.

Visitors were also treated to a carol concert performed by students from Lache and St Clare’s Catholic Primary Schools.

Sanctuary Housing resident involvement officer Ann Dooney said: “This was a fantastic event to support with more than 80 children visiting the grotto to see Santa and his elves.”
