Lache Lane in Chester has been reopened in both directions following a crash on Wednesday (October 7).

A driver of a Fiat Punto was taken to Aintree Hospital with 'serious head injuries'.

The three-vehicle collision was reported at 8.26am and the road was closed until just before 1pm.

Another patient was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital by rapid response vehicle with 'minor injuries'.

North West Air Ambulance attended the crash, but in the end was not used.

Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said they had to cut one person free from their vehicle.

A third casualty was treated for their injuries at the road side.
