Excitement and anticipation overflowed in the King’s Infant School last week with a visit from award-winning author and former CBBC presenter Nicola Davies, together with illustrator Petr Horacek.
They presented their new book A First Book of Animals which is an introduction to the natural world.
Nicola read extracts from the book as Petr drew illustrations which all the pupils loved.
Nicola was a presenter on the CBBC programme, The Really Wild Show and Czech illustrator Petr Horacek was winner of the Books for Children Newcomer award in 2002.
Nicola and Petr signed copies of the book after the talk for the Willow Lodge pupils.
