King's School student Jack Jameson, 17, of Tattenhall, has been awarded a Liverpool John Moore's University Good Citizenship Award by Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson and Lord David Alton at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall.

The award was given for the King’s student’s work with and for Heswall Disabled Children’s Holiday. Jack volunteered a week of his time at the residential camp for boys aged 6-16 years of age, from North West England, who have various disabilities.

The award was followed by an inspirational speech by Dame Tanni Grey- Thompson DBE on overcoming disability and adversity.
