A MID Cheshire woman enjoyed a night out as VIP guest of Peter Stringfellow, the eponymous nightclub owner, at the swanky La Dolce Vita Ball in London last week.

Kim Smith, who lived in Middlewich for 20 years before moving to Acton Bridge last year, was rewarded for the success of her Stringfellows Retail party plan business.

She got a seat at the ball in aid of the CLIC Sargent children's cancer charity, where tickets sold for £2,500 per head, after recording impressive sales of items like lingerie, jewellery, bags, clothing and toys.

She rubbed shoulders with stars like Ross Kemp, Sophie Anderton, Brendan Cole, Neil Morrissey, Eddie Jordan, Martin Brundle and Claire Sweeney.

She said: 'This is why I joined Stringfellows Retail - we were treated like Royalty. It was a fantastic experience - meeting Peter Stringfellow in person would have been enough, but we got to meet so many of his celebrity friends and to see some fantastic performances as well.'
