FRESH from performing at one of the top celebrity weddings of the year, a popular Irish folk singer will visit Farndon Sports and Social Club later this month.

Declan Nerney, who is the uncle of The Saturdays singer Una Healy, will be bringing his lively and unique style of country and Irish music to the club on Friday, November 30.

A rising star in his native country, Declan has recorded eight top-selling albums and toured the country performing his self-penned songs.

And earlier this year Declan played to a star-studded crowd at the wedding of his niece to Chester-born rugby star Ben Foden, an event that was even featured in OK! magazine.

Tickets for the show in Farndon cost £12 in advance and £14 on the door and can be bought by contacting Ken on 01829 270965 or 07800942409.

Gill Cosby, a long-time fan of Declan, said: “We are really looking forward to welcoming Declan and his band to our club for the first time.

“It will be a very lively and entertaining evening with lots of dancing,” she added.
