A CHARITY is giving you the chance to take the plunge in a tankful of stingrays, moray eels and 10ft sharks.

The Muscular Dystrophy Campaign is inviting people to take part in its Discover Scuba diving sessions at Ellesmere Port's Blue Planet Aquarium.

By raising the minimum sponsorship of £320, people will qualify for a free dive.

Charles Horton, regional fundraising manager for the charity, said: 'This is an ideal opportunity for beginners to learn the basics of scuba diving.

'Anyone over 16 can take part - even with no previous experience.

'Coming so close to the inhabitants of the deep is the ultimate challenge, which helps us raise income to fund a possible cure for muscle disease.'

The dives will take place on various dates during the coming months.
