Plans have been submitted for an indoor trampoline park in Deeside, which would create 35 jobs if it gets off the ground.

Shotton-based Jump 2 It Ltd is behind the proposal at Deeside Industrial Park. The plans include a restaurant and party room.

Jump 2 It Ltd has submitted a planning application to Flintshire Council for the change of use of an empty industrial warehouse unit on First Avenue.

A planning application submitted by Coedpoeth-based D S Jones and Co, on behalf of Jump 2 It Ltd, states: “It is proposed that the majority of the building will operate as an indoor trampoline park.

"This will consist of a number of trampolines which are purpose made and joined together to form a large trampoline bed.

“The development of an indoor trampoline park within this empty building will indeed further the opportunities for sport and recreation for the younger section of the local and regional community and make a positive contribution to the health and wellbeing of users.”

The public has until May 5 to voice their views on the proposal with a decision expected later that month.

Currently, the closest trampoline parks to Chester are in Widnes, Liverpool and Manchester.
