YOUNGSTERS at Huntington Primary School have had a dramatic run-up to the festive period.

Pupils staged three Christmas productions this year, giving all children from nursery to Year 6 a chance to shine.

Toby’s Christmas Drum and The Hoity-Toity Angel were presented by children from the foundation stage and infant classes, impressing a packed school hall with their singing and confidence.

Junior children then gave three performances of Not Just for Christmas at St Luke’s church, weaving together a contemporary school tale with nativity scenes showcasing the children’s acting, dancing and singing ability.

Headteacher Duncan Rose said: “We were all so proud of the children. The standard achieved was fantastic, with many solo singers and a wide range of musical and acting talent on show.

“To be welcomed once again by Rev Hutchings to St Luke’s just added to the wonderful Christmas atmosphere.”
