As many commuters head home for the weekend, we have the latest on the key routes in and out of Chester this Friday (October 2).

A broken down tanker has caused one lane to be closed on the A55 westbound at Huntington.

Reports say queues caused by the incident are stretching back for three miles.

On the M56 traffic is moving well.

Where three A494 lanes merge into two westbound near Drome Corner, traffic is moving very slowly.

Traffic has returned to normal on the A41 Whitchurch Road northbound between Platt's Lane and A41 Ring Road.

Heavy congestion southbound on the A550 Welsh Road where it meets the A540 at Two Mills.

National Rail are reporting no issues for train services.
