A housebuilding firm has helped a Northwich children’s charity on the way to building a new centre by raising £1,889 through a series of fun events.

Sales director at Persimmon Homes North West Dave Hodgson presented a cheque to The Joshua Tree, a charity providing refuge and support to families who are going through the devastating experience of childhood cancer.

The charity aims to build a fit-for-purpose support centre and holiday house in Cheshire to provide families with much needed time together away from the stress, isolation and side-effects that the regime of cancer treatment and confinement of hospitals can bring.

A regular visitor to the charity’s offices, Dave said: “We are so proud to be associated with The Joshua Tree and everyone at Persimmon Homes North West has contributed in some way to raising money for this inspirational charity.

“From dress down days to bake offs, we are always happy to do anything we can to help them achieve their goals and dreams of creating a holiday centre where every child who is suffering from leukaemia or cancer related illness has a special place to be treated with their families by their sides.”
