WORRIED residents living in a narrow Crewe street say their lives would become unbearable if plans to build five extra houses get the go-ahead.
Families in Nessina Grove and Briardale Close at Wistaston have objected to a planning application by Muller Property Holdings to build five large houses on a plot of land currently housing one bungalow in Nessina Grove.
They say the plot of land is 'simply not big enough', the houses would be crammed and would dwarf their own and new roads to the properties would create noise and unwanted traffic.
Cllr Margaret Simon said she has been inundated with residents' concerns.
She added: 'I am not happy about this. I have had lots of calls from residents worried about this application.
'They say would prefer to keep the one bungalow on the site because they simply cannot see five homes can be built on the same site.'
Residents must wait until the next Crewe and Nantwich Borough Council's development control meeting on September 21 to learn the decision on the planning application after the development control committee deferred a decision at its meeting on Thursday.
