A HOOLE-based charity aimed at supporting people with learning disabilities into employment is looking for people to take part in their projects.

The Bren Project, based in Dee House, provides tailored, one-to-one supported work placements to help people overcome barriers to workplace inclusion.

The organisation has secured funding to run projects for the past two years and staff are hopeful further funding will be secured to continue running projects in the long term.

Peter Sackett, the Bren Project’s charity manager, said: “The Bren Project offers people the chance to experience the real workplace in a supportive and encouraging environment.

“It’s very difficult for people with learning disabilities to get a foot on the ladder with employers and this project will give people the chance to show what they can achieve.”

One of the key elements of the Bren Project is the provision of one-to-one support for people in the workplace while they learn the ropes and the charity is looking to recruit new beneficiaries to take part.
