A NURSERY cook is on the way to becoming a celebrity chef.

Holly Hancock, of Ashton House Nursery in Chester, has been nominated for Nursery Chef of the Year by Nursery Management Today magazine.

Holly, who has worked at the nursery for 12 years, took part in a ‘cook off’ in London last week in a bid to win the title.

The results will be announced at an awards ceremony later this month.

If she is successful, this will be another accolade for Holly, who has already achieved a platinum Eat Well award from Cheshire County Council and has recently achieved five stars in the annual Environmental Health Inspection.

Mandy Jourdan, nursery manager, said: “I’m so proud for Holly and the nursery to get the recognition they deserve and the true satisfaction is the knowledge that the children are thriving on the well-balanced diet provided.”
