AN ENERGY saving family from Helsby have been chosen as finalists in a national ‘watt-loss’ competition with energy provider E.ON.
Lloretta Case, of Crescent Drive, Helsby, and her family, will join just nine other UK families bidding to trim their energy usage and lose pounds from their bills.
“We’re so excited to have been chosen to take part in the Watt Watchers Energy Fitness Challenge,” said Lloretta.
“As a family, we always try to do our bit when it comes to saving energy but we could certainly do more.
“We’re ready and raring to go and are keen to put Helsby and Frodsham on the energy fitness map.”
The challenge – launched by fitness guru and TV star Nell McAndrew with leading energy company E.ON – will reward the family that saves the most energy with a cash prize of £1,000, crowning them E.ON’s Watt Watchers Energy Fitness Champions 2010.
