Big-hearted staff at a Tarporley restaurant will swing open their doors on Christmas Day to offer free festive meals to families and individuals in crisis.

The team at Street is determined to give the special guests a ‘Christmas they will never forget’ by hosting them for a complimentary three-course dinner with all the trimmings, so they don't have to spend December 25 alone or without a decent meal.

The thoughtful gesture was born last year at Street’s sister restaurant in Nantwich – where it will be repeated this year – but with the venue in Tarporley opening in April, area manager Natalie Hand says they are looking forward to reaching out to even more people.

Generous staff

“Last Christmas was the most wonderful, emotional day I’ve ever had,” she said.

“What I can guarantee is a three-course traditional dinner in an amazing environment full of staff who care and will look after them and their family.

“We can make a difference and we will give them a Christmas Day they will never forget.

“Staff at both branches are really looking forward to it – without hesitation, they volunteered their time to help out and be there. They are amazing.”

Natalie added that ‘as many places as possible’ are up for grabs, with multiple sittings if there is enough demand.

Members of the public, charities and referring agencies are invited to get in touch if they know anyone who would benefit.
