A team of ghost hunters led by a man from Helsby claim to have captured the eerie apparitions of two children on camera.

These spooky images were taken by paranormal investigation group The Haunted Hunts – founded by 26-year-old Daniel Moss – during a visit to Pen-Y-Lan Hall, near Ruabon, in North Wales.

The first image shows what appears to be a young boy in black staring out of the Grade-II listed gothic building’s window.

Another hair-raising photograph captured in the grounds of the home features the ghostly face of a young girl, with eyes, nose and mouth clearly visible.

The gothic house was built in 1690 and is said to be home to a number of ghostly apparitions.

Visitors claim to have heard footsteps and voices from empty rooms and strange shadows lurking in the dark.

Legend tells that the cellar may have once held prisoners, while the screams of a crying baby can also be heard in the dead of night.

Daniel, of Helsby, and his team have been investigating haunted buildings across the North West and North Wales for about two years and claim to have encountered a number of spectres.

The group use several gadgets during their investigation including cameras, K-II meters, EVP recorders, ouija boards, and temperature pods.

Daniel said: “We really like to bring a scientific approach to paranormal investigations and we do our best to dry and debunk everything.

“Pen-Y-Lan Hall is haunted by numerous children, over the years there have been multiple sightings and it is one of our most mysterious locations.”

They captured the image of the little boy in August, last year, but say it was only a day later that they noticed the strange presence.

Daniel said: “It was only the day after when we noticed the little boy stood in the window. The only person in the house at the time was the owner and there were no children there.”

He added: “The little girl ghost was captured in the grounds by one of our guests and I just have no logical explanation for it. It is a clear face with eyes and a nose.”

Daniel, who was himself a skeptic when he was younger but changed his mind after experiencing a number of strange goings-on, says he is unsure why ghosts exist.

He said: “It is difficult to say why spirits are still here – you usually find them where a significant event has taken place and they are still searching for something.

“We just try and get 100% proof and visit somewhere several times before saying it is haunted.

“We want to be known as the most honest paranormal investigation group in the area and in the country.”
