Carnival time is coming to Cheshire’s countryside.

Organisers promise Hargrave and Huxley’s Happy Days event, running from June 24-26, will be bigger and better than ever before.

Highlights include a procession of floats being from Elm Tree Farm in Huxley to Hargrave Church field on Saturday.

The family fun-filled fete will also feature a mobile belfry, with demonstrations, and opportunity to have a go; the ‘Red Barrows’, a choreographed display of local men with their wheelbarrows; falconry display; lots of stalls selling goodies.

Saturday evening will see a hog roast and barn dance taking place in the marquee on the church field, 7pm for 7.30pm, with live music by Flaxmere.

On the Sunday, there will be Happy Days family service in St Peter’s Church, and at 12.30pm Sunday lunch will be cooked or you can bring your own picnic.

The festival will conclude with a rounders session at 2pm.
