Students from The Hammond School held their annual carol concert in Chester Cathedral.

The whole school performed to an audience of more than 800 parents, VIPs, family and friends plus staff.

The concert included much loved traditional carols, theatrical versions of old favourites such as The Twelve Days of Christmas, solos and readings.

The senior drama students even offered some humour through their performance of a Willy Russell Nativity classic.

The event, directed and conducted by director of music and deputy principal Kevin Williams, ended with a performance of Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus from The Messiah,
